Your lose weight by burning more calories than your intake of calories in your food. But if it is that simple then most of us would not be so overweight. Weight loss is a struggle to a lot of people. You can help yourself by changing some of your bad eating habits. By making small changes every day it can become an easier task to accomplish.
Just think that to lose one pound you need to burn 3,500 calories. If you plan to burn 3,500 calories you will be doing more damage to body than if you plan to lose it slowly.
There are 52 weeks in a year and if you plan to lose one pound a week then you will slowly have lost about 52 pounds. That is good news for those wishing to lose more than 50 pounds because the odds are that the longer you take to lose the weight, the longer you will stay on course and keep your pounds off.
To succeed you need to track your calories intake and your exercise activity. If you do not know how many calories each portion has then get yourself a book. Some books include fast foods and famous restaurants.
Before starting your weight loss plan write the now amounts that you are eating to help you stay over weight. Begin by keeping track of your new numbers to reduce your calorie intake. When you keep track you will see how much you have been eating and that will be your real numbers to compare.
So calculate that if you are eating on a daily basis 3,500 calories and if you plan to reduce one pound a week. You will have to reduce your intake by 500 less calories a day to lose one pound a week. You will lose your desired weight in a healthy manner.
By depriving yourself food and eating a low caloric diet you might be trigger a mechanism that we all have. By making yourself to start to over eat the foods that you have deprived yourself.
So, the best diet plans are the ones that are balanced. When you do not deprive yourself of your favorite foods you are sending signals to your brain that everything is okay; you are eating less but you are eating.
Exercise additionally to your diet plan and your results will be very promising. A good average to start if you have never done any exercise is to walk for about 10-15 minutes a day and work your way walk more each day by adding 1-5 minutes daily.
Strengthen body and you will reap the benefits by adding one pounds weights if you feel comfortable enough to carry weights. Check with your doctor and get their advice on how you should proceed with the right diet plan and exercise program for you.
